This spread is delicious! I like Indian spices and am familiar with the taste of Indian foods, but I find that many Indian concoctions have a funky aftertaste. This does not. The spices remind me of a Christmas mince, with a mildly hot base note. Very good on a plain cracker, clean aftertaste…great product!

I order 6 jars at a time as it keeps a long long time without going bad. I found a jar in the back of my pantry that was dried out due to careless sealing on my part. I added a little water, and it reconstituted itself. It was fine, no difference from a new jar. The expiration date is for the benefit of the FDA. In India there are no expiration dates on products. Don’t throw out your product if it goes beyond the expiration date. It is still safe.
